Majority Say Supreme Court Motivated By Politics, Not The Law; Support For Stricter Gun Laws Falls

More than 6 in 10 Americans, 61 percent, say the Supreme Court is mainly motivated by politics, and 32 percent say it's mainly motivated by the law, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll of adults. Nearly half of Americans (49 percent) oppose stricter gun laws in the United States while 45 percent support stricter gun laws. Republicans oppose 84 - 13 percent, independents oppose 54 - 39 percent, while Democrats support stricter gun laws 91 - 7 percent.
