Trump Has Slight Lead Over DeSantis In GOP Primary Quinnipiac University Poll Given a list of 14 names of Republicans who either have said they are running for president in 2024 or are seen as potential candidates in a Republican primary, Trump receives 42% among Republican and Republican leaning voters followed by DeSantis who receives 36%. In a hypothetical general election matchup, it is a toss-up between Biden (48%) and Trump (46%) among all registered voters. It is also a toss-up between Biden and DeSantis, with 47% supporting DeSantis and 46% supporting Biden. Many policies Biden raised in his State of the Union address are supported by bipartisan majorities Taylor Orth & Kathy Frankovic, YouGov Several parts of the president’s agenda articulated in his State of the Union speech are supported by large majorities. And all five of the policies polled are supported by majorities in each major party.
