But high out-of-pocket costs in the Medicare program may still make it more difficult for older Americans to receive affordable care compared to older adults in other countries. This brief presents the first findings from the 2024 Commonwealth Fund International Health Policy Survey of Older Adults in 10 countries to explore how financial considerations affect older adults’ health care decisions.
