Roughly 6 in 10 Americans say they oppose the GOP domestic policy bill that President Donald Trump recently signed into law, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. In the wake of his most sweeping legislative achievement since returning to office, Trump’s rating for handling the budget has slumped 11 points since March, with a rising majority also saying he’s gone too far in cutting government programs.

A week after the Justice Department and the FBI effectively closed the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein by releasing no new files and concluding that he died by suicide in his jail cell, 17 percent of voters say they approve of the way the Trump Administration is handling the Jeffrey Epstein files, while 63 percent of voters disapprove. Forty percent of voters approve of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president, while 54 percent disapprove. A majority of voters (55 percent) oppose the Republican tax and spending bill named One Big Beautiful Bill Act that was passed by Congress and signed into law, while 35 percent support it.
Americans’ support for school cellphone bans has ticked up since last year

As the new school year approaches and lawmakers across the country decide whether to enact cellphone bans in schools, Americans’ support for such bans is inching up. Today, 74% of U.S. adults say they would support banning middle and high school students from using cellphones during class, up from 68% last fall.
