A new YouGov survey asked Americans about the seriousness of 33 problems in the U.S. Corruption, inflation, and political division are seen by majorities of Americans as very serious problems.

47% of voters approve of Trump’s job performance, unchanged from the previous week. Still, 51% disapprove of his job performance. Voters are now 10 points more likely to approve than disapprove of Trump’s handling of immigration, up from a 5-point margin on the issue two months ago. Similarly, voters are 11 points more likely to trust Republicans than Democrats to handle immigration, up from a 4-point advantage in late June.

Gen Z students are feeling more prepared for their futures than at any point in the past three years, according to a new survey from the Walton Family Foundation and Gallup Voices of Gen Z study. Nearly six in 10 middle and high school students now agree they feel prepared for the future, an 11-percentage-point increase over 2024.
