President Trump’s approval rating ticks down

46% of voters approve of his Trump’s performance, down 1 percentage point over the past week, while 51% disapprove of his job performance, matching our findings from the previous three surveys. Voters are only 4 points more likely to approve than disapprove of Trump’s approach to immigration (49% to 45%), the lowest net rating we’ve measured on the issue since he took office in January.

Among a group of 924 adults who said they were at least partially familiar with FEMA, the poll found 86% agreed FEMA’s services after a natural disaster are very necessary or somewhat necessary. That included 83% of Republicans in the group and 95% of Democrats.
