US support for Israel slips as Democrats grow more critical, AP-NORC poll finds Steve Peoples and Linley Sanders, The Associated Press After decades of reliable bipartisan backing for Israel, a new AP-NORC poll reveals a dramatic erosion of support for the longtime U.S. ally, with rising opposition from Democrats and signs of division among Republicans.
Democrats are increasingly supportive of the Palestinians, while support for Israel declines AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research About 3 in 10 adults (31%) say Israel’s military actions in Gaza constitute genocide, while 2 in 10 say is has not, and roughly half (49%) say they don’t know enough to say.... The public is split on the justification for various actions in the Israel-Hamas war, though about 4 in 10 say they don’t know enough about each to have an opinion.

In U.S., GLP-1 Usage Reaches New High Dan Witters, Gallup The percentage of U.S. adults who currently take GLP-1 medications for weight loss purposes has risen to 11% in 2026, up significantly from 3% in 2024. And 15% report having used the medicine for weight loss at some point, an increase of nine percentage points.
