How Americans describe the Democratic and Republican parties

Americans aren't big fans of the Democratic and Republican parties. Only 37% have a very or somewhat favorable opinion of the Democratic Party, and 36% view the Republican Party favorably. But the natures of those unfavorable opinions differ between the parties. To explore this, YouGov asked Americans to pick which of 40 terms — 20 of them positive and 20 negative — describe each party.
Americans are increasingly worried about their local schools giving students too much access to technology

76% of Americans say the K-12 schools they went to growing up did a very or somewhat good job. Americans’ ratings of public schools today are lower: 59% say public schools in their area do a good job, while 52% say the same of public schools in the country as a whole.... The survey asked respondents how concerned they are about 19 issues in local public schools. Several academic and safety concerns top the list.
Consumer sentiment falls in August

Consumer sentiment fell about 8% this August, ending two consecutive months of improvement. While views of personal finances saw only minor declines, expected business conditions sank 11% for the short run and 17% for the long run. Decreases in sentiment were seen across the political spectrum, with Republicans exhibiting the strongest month-to-month decline in August.
